UPC on MB Blog: TV3 confirms ALL 48 Rugby World Cup games

News thanks to TV3.

TV3 has today announced that it will be the Exclusive home of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.


The Group confirmed today at a launch from The Merrion Hotel in Dublin that ALL 48 matches will be shown on TV3.

TV3 also confirmed that TV3HD will launch in August, and will be available on both Sky and UPC.

Joining Keith Wood on TV3’s team of analysts will be rugby coaching guru Matt Williams, Stuart Barnes of Sky Sports, former Ireland scrum half Peter Stringer, the soon to be retired Leinster flanker Shane Jennings, former Ireland international rugby union player Hugo MacNeill and legendary English World Cup winning flanker Neil Back.

Irish sports commentator with the BBC Conor McNamara, former Munster academy member and regular writer for TheJournal.ie Murray Kinsella, and rugby analyst Liam Toland, will also join Matt Cooper and TV3’s own Sinead Kissane on the broadcasting team.

The RWC 2015 coverage on TV3 will be Executive Produced by Tony Whelan, veteran of many previous Rugby World Cup television productions, and by Kieran Holden, TV3 Group Head of Sport.
