Local TV on MB Blog: Ofcom reveal more Local TV winners.

Viewers in Cambridge will get Cambridge Presents from September 2014.

Viewers in Scarborough will get Yorkshire Coast TV from 2015.

Confirmed: FOX + to launch, Virgin Media to move channels to new packages from Friday.

Virgin Media has today revealed at FOX + will be available on Virgin channel 199 in the XL pack from Friday.

Also Virgin Media are set to re-packaging Nat Geo and FOX from XL to L also on Friday 1st November.

Nat Geo can be found on Virgin Channel 230 and FOX on Virgin Channel 157.

Guardian: Liberty Global sells international content arm to Breaking Bad network.

John Malone's US cable giant Liberty Global, which acquired Virgin Media in February for £15bn, has sold its international TV content division, ChelloMedia, to AMC Networks for $1bn (£617m) in cash.

Rumour: Premier Sports to launch on Virgin Media soon.

Rumours posted online (Digital Spy Forum / Cable Forum) says that Premier Sports is set to launch on Virgin Channel 551 soon.

The rumour was posted sometime on Friday on DS Forum but was later removed.

Info we have seen says that this rumour was started by Technix. (MB Blog did not see this rumour live online)

On October 25th at 6pm to October 28th at 6am the following channels will be shown FREE on the M, M+ and L Packages on Virgin Media:

  • 529. ESPN
  • 530. ESPN HD (Only on HD boxes)
  • 547. BT Sport 1
  • 549. BT Sport 1 HD (Only on HD boxes)
  • 548. BT Sport 2
  • 550. BT Sport 2 HD (Only on HD boxes)

  • BBC News HD* to launch on Virgin Media.

Virgin Media remove THREE Channels from 'Total Channels'.

Today I saw that Virgin Media has removed three channels off 'Total Channels' last night.

Just seen on my blog that BBC Red Button 2, BBC Red Button 3 and Blighty was closedown about 90days ago.

BBC: BBC One to launch +1 channel.

BBC Director General Tony Hall announced today that Britain's most-watched channel will launch a BBC One +1 channel.

Confirmed: Lifetime to launch on November 4th.

Overnights.tv has confirmed that Lifetime will launch on November 4th replacing Bio on Virgin Channel 242.

Confirmed: Christmas comes early on Movies 24.

Movies 24 will magically transforms into Christmas 24 from 3rd November to 4th January.

Movies 24 channels are on Virgin Channels 419 and 420.

Global Radio to add some Xtra Capital to your Radio Choice from Monday.

Global Radio has today reveal that Choice FM will be rebranded as Capital Xtra on Monday on Virgin Channel 969.

UPDATED: CBS Channels FREE until December 31st on Virgin Media.

The Following channels are now FREE until December 31st:

  • CBS Reality on Virgin Channel 148,
  • Horror Channel on Virgin Channel 149,
  • CBS Action on Virgin Channel 192,
  • CBS Drama on Virgin Channel 197,
  • CBS Reality +1 on Virgin Channel 201,
  • Horror Channel +1 on Virgin Channel 202.

APPRLG News: MPs call on Virgin Media to show RLWC13 on Premier Sports.

The Parliamentary Group has today made public on its website (www.apprlg.org.uk) a letter to the Chief Executive of Virgin Media calling on the broadcaster to enable Premier Sports to be shown on the platform in time for RLWC13.

  • Cambridge Presents

Middlesbrough:
  • Made in Teesside

Mold:
  • Bay TV Clwyd
  • Serch TV Mold

Scarborough:
  • Yorkshire Coast TV

Swansea:
  • Bay TV Swansea
  • Love Swansea

York:
  • The York Channel

  • More4 HD has launch on Virgin Channel 203.
  • Yesterday has moved to Virgin Channel 206.
  • Yesterday +1 has moved to Virgin Channel 207.
  • Nick Jr. 2 has been rebrand as Nick Jr. Peppa for an week - until October 7th on Virgin Channel 716.
