Channel 4 to launch SIX sports channels for the Paralympic Games.

Channel 4 has outlined its plans for the most extensive coverage of the Paralympic Games that has ever been broadcast in the UK.

From August 29th 2012 to September 10th 2012. More than 150 hours of all-day everyday coverage will be broadcast during the twelve days of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Multiple channels and platforms will broadcast live sport on Channel 4, More4 and online at Channel4.com.

In addition, Channel 4 will broadcast three further streams of uninterrupted live coverage of a range of sports at the Paralympic Games. These will be available as three dedicated channels on the Sky platform, in both standard and high definition, as well as online at Channel4.com - with the streams also expected to launch on Virgin Media.

I found that on June 1st Red Hot Fetish is being rename as Red Hot 18s on Virgin Channel 480.

Two new channels to launch in July on Virgin Media.

Guardian Media is reporting that Bauer Media and Channel 4's joint venture Box TV.

Will launch Heat TV on Virgin Media on 3 July.

But the new venture will replace one of Box TV's existing seven-strong stable of channels, but it has not confirmed which one. It broadcasts Kiss, 4Music, Kerrang!, The Box, Magic, Smash Hits and Q.

Digital Spy is also reporting that 4Seven will launch on July 4th on Virgin TV.

BizAsia: Star News will rebrand as ABP News in June.

Asian media web site ''BizAsia'' is reporting that:

With Star TV ending its deal, Media Conteent and Communcations Services (MCCS) has confirmed that its flagship brand ABP will be rolled out across its news channels from Frday 1st June.

Star News is broadcasting on Virgin Channel 802.

Virgin Media to close TV Email next week in old Telewest areas.

Virgin Media are to axe TV Email on May 20th but only in Ex-Telewest areas.

No date has been given on when Virgin Media plan to axe TV Email in old ntl areas.

NOTE: Since about 2008 TV Email was not open to new viewers.
