New Channel to launch next month?

DS Forums are reporting that Virgin Media Television are to replace Living +2 on Virgin Channel 159.

Living +2 is rumoured to set to be replaced by Living Loves.

EXCLUSIVE: New information on Sky Sports HD and Sky Movies HD.

My Insider has told that Virgin will soon give out info on prices and launch date for Sky Sports and Sky Movies HD Channels.

I have also been told that Virgin are looking to launch more HD Channels.

NOTE: I do not work for Virgin Media so all the information on this post is subject to change.

EXCLUSIVE: Virgin Media looking to launch an Scottish channel.

My insider has told me that Virgin hope to launch BBC ALBA on Virgin TV*.

*I was not told if this channel was set to launch in Scotland only (Like S4C is only in Wales) or UK wide.

NME Radio to close at midnight on Tuesday.

From tomorrow night at midnight Radio Channel NME (channel 975) will cease broadcasting.

EXCLUSIVE: Media Boy given EPG Channel numbers for some Movies Channels from next week.

I have seen the list of channels moving next week plus also their new EPG Channel numbers - They are as followed:

  • 415. TCM (Was Channel 419)
  • 419. Movies 24 (Was Channel 424)
  • 420. Movies 24+ (Was Channel 425)
  • 424. True Movies (Was Channel 428)
  • 428. Film 4 (Was Channel 444)
  • 429. Free Channel number (Film4 HD?)
  • 430. Film 4+1 (Was Channel 445)

Sky Real Lives Axed.

Sky is axing its female-focussed channel Real Lives to shift its budget onto sister channels Sky 1 and 2.

So no Sky Real Lives HD - it's no suprise this channel has been axed. 

The axe will fall sometime before September.

Two Channels to close on Virgin Media this Summer.

June will see NME Radio being axe on Virgin Channel 975 as NME Radio is being axe from Digital TV and DAB Radio.

August 31st will see Teachers TV being close on Virgin Channel 240.

EXCLUSIVE: Media Boy given more info on the BSkyB/VMTV take over.

I have been told that Virgin hope to launch Sky1 HD, Sky News HD, Sky Real Lives HD, Sky Arts 1 HD and Sky Arts 2 HD on Virgin TV in a few weeks, once the deal has been approved in Ireland.

My insider also thinks that for the Sky Movies and Sky Sports HD Channels viewers maybe charge extra if they want them.

But the Basics HD Channels may probably all end up on the XL Pack.

STV HD is now broadcast on Virgin Media in Scotland on Virgin Channel 113.
